Why now? After meeting the owners of HeadStart, Jazon and Miki, we knew this was going to be the type of partnership that benefited our mission.
They saw beyond us being their coffee shop provider, and saw the opportunities for their community to embrace difference, for students to gain work experience, to destigmatise vocational training as a pathway only for students under learning support, and of course to feed their school with healthy and nutritious food and drinks.
We had 5 weeks to pull it off but with our Phuket franchise partners Steps with Nakita, we managed to renovate, train the team, and create a beautiful space.
With each new branch comes more opportunities for training and employment and it creates more touch points for the community to interact with us. We will keep taking these steps towards employment equality.
